When you need it
- New electrical equipment or machinery is being installed. Make sure everyone who works near it knows the hazards and the safe distances.
- A near-miss or shock incident has occurred. Refresh the team's awareness and tighten safe-work practices.
- Routine refresher for teams working near live panels. Electrical awareness fades over time; a periodic refresher keeps it current.
- DOSH audit or client safety audit is coming. Show that your team has been trained on electrical hazard recognition and emergency response.

- Safe work practices and isolation — Energised work rules, safe approach distances, and verification of zero energy.
- PPE for electrical tasks — Insulated gloves, face shields, arc-rated clothing, and inspection routines.
- Emergency response for electrocution — First response, safe rescue, and when to call for medical help.
- Cable management and housekeeping — Trailing cables, extension-lead safety, and environmental controls.
- Awareness of lockout/tagout — Purpose, basic steps, and why only authorised persons may perform full LOTO.
