- Pre-operation inspection — Daily checks for tyres, hydraulics, forks, lights, brakes, and warning devices before starting the shift.
- Load capacity and stability — Understand load centres, weight distribution, and the stability triangle to prevent tip-overs.
- Safe manoeuvring and stacking — Forward and reverse driving, ramp negotiation, stacking at height, and racking clearance.
- Pedestrian awareness — Horn use, visibility zones, pedestrian crossings, and communication signals in shared traffic areas.
- Refuelling and battery safety — Safe procedures for LPG cylinder change, diesel refuelling, and lead-acid battery charging and ventilation.
- Machinery lockout/tagout basics — Isolate energy sources, apply locks and tags, and verify zero energy before maintenance.
- Practical demonstration — Hands-on exercise with your site’s forklifts, supervised by the trainer with live feedback.
