  1. Fire classes and extinguisher selection — Understand Class A, B, C, D, and electrical fires; choose and operate the right extinguisher, hose reel, or blanket.
  2. Evacuation procedures and muster points — Design clear escape routes, assign warden roles, and account for all personnel at assembly points.
  3. Basic fire-fighting technique — PASS method, safe approach distances, boundary control, and when to retreat and wait for BOMBA.
  4. First-aid for burns and smoke inhalation — Cool burns, manage airway irritation, recognise cyanosis, and stabilise casualties for evacuation.
  5. Spill and chemical emergency response — Contain small spills, use absorbent kits, and coordinate evacuation for large or toxic releases.
  6. Drill coordination and debrief > Plan, run, and evaluate fire and evacuation drills with timed benchmarks and improvement actions.
