Plant turnarounds, tank and vessel cleaning, sewer and drain work — any job that needs people to enter a confined space and come back out safely.
Scheduled maintenance windows where multiple vessels, reactors and pipes must be opened, inspected and cleaned. We arrange AGTES and standby persons for the full shutdown period.
Storage tanks, silos, digesters and process vessels that require internal access for sludge removal, inspection or repair. Atmospheric testing and continuous standby are non-negotiable.
Manhole entry, pipe relining, pump-station maintenance and culvert inspections. Toxic gases, low oxygen and flooding risks make standby persons essential.
Blockages, leaks or equipment failures that force an immediate confined-space entry. We confirm AGTES availability as quickly as possible for urgent call-outs.
Atmospheric testing for oxygen, flammable gases and toxic substances before entry. Supervision of the entry process, permit verification, and authority to cancel the permit if conditions change. Arranged on request.
Stationed outside the confined space for the duration of entry. Maintains an accurate count of entrants, monitors conditions, communicates with the team inside, and summons rescue services if needed. Arranged on request.
Note: Naja Safety does not train or certify AGTES personnel. We arrange personnel who have already completed training at DOSH-registered training providers and hold current registration.
Site location, dates, number of entries, and the type of work (tank cleaning, pipeline repair, etc.).
Naja checks who is available for your dates and site, and confirms the arrangement.
The AGTES and standby person attend your site briefing, review the permit, and begin work.
Permits cancelled, entry log completed, and any incidents or near-misses recorded for your files.
We arrange confined-space personnel for sites across Malaysia. Call-out availability depends on location and notice period.
The AGTES is a competent person appointed to conduct atmospheric gas testing and supervise the entry process into a confined space. Under the Industry Code of Practice for Safe Working in a Confined Space 2010, the AGTES tests oxygen levels, flammable gases and toxic substances before anyone enters, and remains on site to supervise the entry until the work is complete or the permit is cancelled.
The standby person remains outside the confined space for the duration of entry operations. They maintain an accurate count of entrants, monitor conditions, communicate with the team inside, and summon rescue services if needed. The AGTES handles atmospheric testing and entry supervision; the standby person handles continuous monitoring and emergency response from outside.
No. Naja Safety does not train or certify AGTES personnel. We arrange AGTES and standby persons who have already completed training at DOSH-registered training providers and hold current registration. AGTES training must be done at a training provider registered with the Director General, and DOSH issues the registration certificate.
For planned shutdowns and tank cleanings, two to four weeks is ideal. For urgent or emergency work, contact us immediately and we will confirm availability as quickly as possible. The more notice you give, the better we can match your site with personnel who have the right experience for your specific confined-space hazards.
We need the site location, the dates and shift times, the number of confined-space entries planned, a brief description of the work (tank cleaning, pipeline repair, sewer inspection, etc.), and any known atmospheric hazards. We also ask about your existing rescue arrangements so we can confirm the standby person's duties are aligned with your emergency plan.
Tell us the site, the dates and the number of entries. We will confirm who is available and get them to your site.
